  LPA Launches New Furniture Series
Perry-Moger Design Group is developing a line of nautically inspired limited edition furniture. The pieces complement the firm's award-winning Nantucket homes by reiterating the nautical design elements and high level of craftsmanship that characterize their work. The compound curves of ship hulls and the fluid lines of sea creatures are the inspiration for the series, says designer Matthew Moger, a principal with the firm.

  Supporting Local War Memorial

A special project is a pro bono design for a local memorial honoring Berwyn's war veterans. It is a three-phase project including an arch, memorabilia from local veterans to be collected by local students, and plans for future development.

The flag-bearing arch is situated at the foot of a pedestrian bridge near the train station, engaging pedestrian and vehicular traffic along the well-traveled business corridor of Route 30; see the profile in our portfolio and visit the Memorial Website here.

Fundraising efforts are continuing to maintain and exand the Memorial in the future. Tax-deductible contributions may be sent to Lyman Perry Architects, Ltd., 42 Cassatt Avenue, Berwyn PA 19312. Check should be made payable to Berwyn Veterans Memorial.

Teaming Up with Ilex in MD
We've been working with Ilex Construction & Development (Easton and Baltimore, MD) at Cooke's Hope in Easton, MD. We assisted in the development of the master plan and designed prototypes for 5 single-family homes as part of the second phase of the project. Construction has begun and will continue throughout this year. Ilex provides a quality product - check out their Website.

  Morris Arboretum Begins Major Expansion

We're continuing a 20 year relationship with Morris Arboretum to do schematic design for a multi-phase project to build a new Horticulture and Facilities Center. Located in the Bloomfield Farm section of the Arboretum, the proposed building will provide classroom and meeting space, offices and employee support spaces for the Facilies Department, a carpentry shop, a vehicle maintenance shop, and garage storage space for vehicles and equipment. Parking will be expanded to support all of these new functions.

This year, the Arboretum was given a donation which would provide funding to build a new, paved roadway from Northwestern Avenue to the proposed location of the facility, upgrade utility services in anticipation of the new building, pave the parking area around the existing concrete parking pad, and create parking for Facilities Employees. Construction is planned for this fall.

The Arboretum is continuing its fundraising efforts for the new Center, with the goal to start construction within the next 2-4 years.

  Two New Golf Clubhouses

We have the privilege of working on two new golf club projects. The Golf Club at Cape Cod (Falmouth, MA) and The Down Island Golf Club (Martha's Vineyard, MA). Each commission includes site planning, new clubhouse, golf management and on-course facilities, as well as a residential component. These projects are currently in the schematic design phase. Look for project updates and photos in the future.

  We're Expanding!

Our project base is expanding south and west. We recently began the design and master planning for a new residence on 71 acres in Ann Arbor, MI and construction should begin soon on a couple of renovations/additions in Boca Grande, FL.
