We firmly believe that creativity cannot be taught, only encouraged through inspiration. For Lyman Perry Architects, that inspiration often comes from the project itself. As a result, we begin each project by defining a central theme. This central theme must express the goals of our client.

We strive to understand the environment where a building is being placed so that designs blend into the context of its environment rather than overpower the landscape. The mission of Lyman Perry Architects is, and always has been, to design timeless buildings that work with the natural ebb and flow of the land.

We build on this vision using our intuition and experience, until we have created a unique design solution that stands with the land, not against it.

This principal of design never varies, regardless of the scope of the project, and has enabled us to work on projects as diverse as residential homes, historic adaptive renovations, schools, large institutions, and recreational facilities.
